Cowherd Ranks Rams No. 1 Post-Draft
Colin Cowherd placed the Los Angeles Rams atop his latest Herd Hierarchy NFL power rankings after the 2026 draft. He slotted the Kansas City Chiefs into the No. 2 position after what he called a sneaky good draft for the Super Bowl contender. The Chicago Bears continued their climb within the top 10.
Cowherd's rankings come amid the NFL offseason, with the Rams holding the shortest Super Bowl odds at +800 via DraftKings Sportsbook. He praised their draft additions including quarterback Ty Simpson, a vertical tight end, an offensive tackle and sixth-round receiver CJ Daniels from Miami. Cowherd noted the Rams' history of developing late-round receivers and expressed measured optimism around wideout Puka Nacua despite off-field issues.
The Chiefs sit at +1500 odds after acquiring running back Kenneth Walker in free agency, draft picks including cornerback Mansoor Delane, defensive linemen Peter Woods and R Mason Thomas. Cowherd highlighted returns from injury for Rashee Rice, Josh Simmons and Patrick Mahomes, emphasizing the quarterback-coach dynamic with Andy Reid.
Other top-10 teams include the Seattle Seahawks at No. 3 (+950 odds), Buffalo Bills at No. 4 (+1000), Houston Texans (+1800), Detroit Lions (+1800), Denver Broncos (+1900) and Chicago Bears (+2500). Cowherd's list excludes the New England Patriots.
